Project Overview

The project aimed to set up a body to execute central monitoring and prevention and or control of water borne diseases. Information was collected from about 32 hospitals and 700 clinics and dispensaries spread all over Delhi, on a weekly basis. Based upon this data necessary Health Department of Delhi Administration took corrective and preventive actions. Our role was to roll out computerization – including selection, procurement and installation of computer equipment, development of an integrated software package to monitor and process the data and supervised the data processing and dissemination. We also provided technical support to develop indicators for monitoring the health situation in different colonies in Delhi, in association with the public health experts.
