Dr G G Saxena, an ex-IAS officer, is an expert in Tourism, Infrastructure, Skill Development and Legal domains. He served the government in various capacities including as the MD & CEO of Delhi Tourism and Secretary (Tourism) in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. During this tenure, he has worked towards developing various tourism and hospitality Infrastructure projects under PPP and non-PPP mode. He has initiated the revival of Dying Arts and Festivals of India for promoting Tourism like festivals of Magic, Itr and Sugandhi, Local Cuisines, Kite-flying etc. He has received National Tourism Award 2011 from the President of India for conducting Delhi Heritage Walks for Delhi Tourism and A&N Tourism Policy Literature prepared during his tenure was also awarded National Award. He is main author of the Book “Indian BnBs: Emerging Disruptor in Hospitality Sector”. In addition he have 6 research articles to his credit. He is visiting faculty in IITTM and other Universities and is initiating Tourism & Skill Development courses in various Universities. He has been associated with various international projects as well where he represented India. He was a speaker and Chairman of Technical Sessions in Inter international conferences organized by Indian Tourism and Hospitality Congress (ITHC) in collaboration with Tourism Departments of Universities in Bali (Indonesia) and Manila (Philippines). He is also an esteemed member of several professional societies including Indian Council of Arbitration and India Tourism & Hospitality Congress.
