Implementation Progress review for the NEPAD Infrastructure Short Term Action Plan (STAP)

Project Overview

NEPAD is an economic development program of the African Union which aims to provide a vision and policy framework for accelerating economic co-operation and integration among African countries. The primary objective of the project is to assess performance of the Plan by detailing the progress made, identifying constraints to efficient project implementation, and to make appropriate recommendations to enhance implementation performance. Our role was mainly to review donor funded project implementation in the ICT sector in Africa, including overview of the main issues arising out of the last (second) Plan implementation, review and analysis of projects implementation in the Information and Communication Technology Sector, assess or recommend the option of prioritizing the projects/programs, highlight the areas of STAP, where SPIDA should intervene or play a role, identifying major challenges and recommendations going forward.
